BioCosmetic Center Urges Parents to Consider Appropriate Weight Loss Diet Plan for Their Children

August 30th, 2010

Phoenix, AZ –BioCosmetic Center urges parents to consider appropriate weight loss diet plan for their children. According to researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and National Institute on Aging (NIA), overweight American children and adolescents have only become more obese throughout the past decade.

Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center said, “Parents that ignore their children’s weight issues are doing them a great disservice. The number of overweight and obese children is not only increasing, but the severity of their weight issues is increasing as well. This does not bode well for their future health.”

The general health ramifications of being overweight or obese include:

1.    Increased risks for many common illnesses and diseases including but not limited to: cardiac disease, some types of cancer, diabetes, etc.
2.    Decreased overall quality of life
3.    Decreased activity level in most cases
4.    Negative joint health
5.    Negative sleep patterns
6.    Difficulty breathing
7.    Chronic mood issues
8.    Low energy issues

In today’s “look-obsessed” society it is still often believed that being overweight or obese is an appearance issue; many categorize it as strictly aesthetic. This isn’t true. The negative health issues that are created in adolescent years can haunt an individual for the remainder of their lives. Taking action to remedy the situation early on is vital. Most childhood and teen overweight and obese issues can be alleviated drastically by the institution (and follow through on) an appropriate diet plan.

BioCosmetic Center offers all inclusive, personalized programs to aid individuals in obtaining their physical goals. Programs can include any of the following: acne scar removal, liposuction, Botox, weight loss, scar removal, bio-identical hormones, dermal fillers, VO2 testing and more.

Defining The Reasons People Access Natural Hormone Replacement

August 25th, 2010

Considering natural hormone replacement? Wondering where the best place is to access services? Are you nervous that you could have a hormone imbalance? Are you dissatisfied with life? Have you decided that the reason for your dissatisfaction is your funky hormone levels?

That could be true. But it could also be true that your angst has nothing to do with your hormones. Hormone testing is a detailed testing procedure that results in exact measurements of various hormone levels. The test should be administered by an experienced professional. It clearly identifies any problem hormones. But the symptoms that can lead people to access this type of testing vary widely.

5 Reasons People Will Request Natural Hormone Replacement or Testing:

1. Menopause

2. Anti-aging is a common reason because this treatment is seen as one of the few, effective anti-aging techniques available

3. Improvement of basic quality of life: there aren’t many who wouldn’t be pleased if their outlook and physical health and activity levels improved

4. Adrenal fatigue and other stress induced conditions

5. Andropause is the male version of menopause: like menopause men can experience a drastic reduction of their overall symptoms through proper hormone therapy

Natural hormone replacement therapy is becoming increasingly popular. Most believe that the new “popularity” is due to an  increase in awareness. Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center said, “A lot of people 30 and over have hormone imbalances. And imbalanced hormone levels are the quickest way to see myriad symptoms and conditions presenting all at once.”

Industry professionals with experience are extremely careful in the diagnosis and treatment of hormone imbalances. Due to the very sensitive nature of the hormone levels imbalances are prevalent amongst the general public. But when there isn’t an imbalance in existence…messing with the natural hormone levels can very quickly and very easily generate problems where none previously existed.

People with menopause (and andropause) can get thorough testing to make sure that their condition needs (and will benefit from) natural hormone replacement. Many are able to receive drastic decreases in the severity of their conditions’ symptoms.

The treatment also offers anti-aging benefits. This is an increasingly popular reason to seek out natural hormone replacement treatment. Any hormonal imbalance can drastically speed up the “ravages of time” that everyone would be happy to avoid. Individuals who have undergone professional treatment have said that they are more productive, more energetic and happier overall.

Other benefits of natural hormone replacement therapy are in evidence. With the help of an experienced professional individuals are able to control treatment easily. The results are often seen very quickly. Adults who have lived with an imbalance for months or even years often notice a difference in their presenting symptoms within weeks or months after they begin an appropriate natural hormone replacement therapy program.

BioCosmetic Center Recommends Effective Diet Plan to Increase Probability of Marriage

August 23rd, 2010

Phoenix, AZ –BioCosmetic Center recommends undertaking an effective diet plan to increase the probability of marriage. According to a study presented at the 2009 annual meeting of the American Sociological Association in San Francisco, California obese individuals are less likely to marry; they have a lower first marriage rate.

In the same study it was found that married individuals tend to experience better health than non-married individuals so obese individuals who are being held back from marriage by their weight are experiencing decreased health as a consequence.

Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center said, “We see interest in the HCG diet plan offered here at the center from both married and non-married individuals. The overall health benefits of weight loss are unarguable. But the additional benefits to those who are both obese and single seem to add an additional incentive. Some of our most successful dieters losing the highest amounts of weight are those that would fall into the category of ‘non-married and obese’ prior to dieting with us.”

The HCG diet plan is based off the original protocol as introduced by Dr. Simeons over 50 years ago as the cure for obesity. HCG injections are paired with a very low calorie diet and a very strict list of approved foods for short periods of time ranging from 15 to 40 days. The time period for the diet is determined using the dieter’s weight loss goals and availability.

Benefits Can Be Had With Burn Scar Removal

August 17th, 2010

The word scar comes from the Greek word “schara” which means place of fire. Scars are a frequent occurrence due to the fact that damaged tissues have only two options for action: regeneration and scarring. While this is an undeniable fact many still act surprised or upset when scarring occurrs.

There is a natural healing process by which the body deals with wounds minor, moderate and severe. And scarring is a natural part of this process. The more severe the injury…the more likely that scarring will be drastic.

Scar tissue can have inferior function in comparison to the original tissue it is replacing. This means that scarred tissues can have a decreased resistance to ultraviolet radiation, lack of sweat glands, lack of hair follicle growth, etc.

BioCosmetic Center’s Eric Jantze said, “Burn scar removal is a very popular procedure here at the Center. Burn scars are often drastic, highly visible and in some instances can even inhibit movement.”

When a burn occurs there are steps that can be taken to reduce visible scarring:

1. Immediately apply a mixture (cold water/tumeric) to the burn area. If tumeric isn’t available then substitute cold milk. The cold water is meant to decrease the burning sensation to provide relief. The tumeric (or cold milk) is meant to reduce generation of scar tissue.

2. No lotions or creams should until the burn is healed completely. The only exception would be if an individual was instructed to do so by a physician or medical professional.

3. While homeopathic remedies have been in use for years as effective treatments for many ailments and conditions there is not one that is effective in removing scars. Burn scar removal is only available through effective laser procedures.

Laser burn scar removal is very effective. But it will never result in full removal of the scarring. Scars cannot be eliminated. Drastic reduction is the best option considering that scarring is a part of the natural healing process. But confidence levels and self image can truly benefit from the visible reduction of scarring that is available through laser burn scar removal.

BioCosmetic Center Recommends Individual Diagnosis and Rosacea Treatment

August 15th, 2010

BioCosmetic Center recommends individual diagnosis and Rosacea treatment. Rosacea is a chronic skin condition said to afflict more than 14 million people in North America. Many afflicted by Rosacea are advised to avoid triggers that worsen the condition. Some are unaware of the effectiveness of a variety of treatments. Individuals should consider a variety of options. Rosacea treatment is very individualized; treatment can be very effective for one condition and not for the next and vice versa.

Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center said, “The Rosacea treatment we actively administer here at the clinic is laser treatment. We use the most recent technology to give our patients the best results. Most see a drastic visual improvement after laser Rosacea treatment.”

Common symptoms of the condition include: areas of redness in facial area, small red bumps or pustules on or around the nose, cheeks, forehead or chin, small blood vessels on the nose/cheeks (telangiectasia), tendency to blush/flush.

Other known methods that have been claimed as effective treatments include: Chrysanthellum Indicum Cream, Green Tea Cream, Niacinamide Cream, Licorice, Digestive Enzymes, B Vitamins, Azelaic Acid Cream, Avoidance of Food Intolerances, Apple Cider Vinegar, Aloe, Burdock, Chamomile, Betaine Hydrochloride, Red Clover, Rose Hips, Selenium, B Vitamins, Zinc, etc. All of the above are “natural” remedies that can safely be administered. But individuals are encouraged to discuss any self prescribed treatment with their medical professional prior to undertaking the treatment. Most natural remedy results are difficult to measure.

The latest advancements in laser technology are being utilized in cosmetic centers offering laser Rosacea treatment. The latest laser technology as applicable to this procedure is a laser hand piece that allows for very specific targeting and increases positive results drastically in comparison to natural remedies as well as laser treatments in years past.

Reaching For Answers With VO2 Testing

August 10th, 2010

A lot of people in today’s society are extra sensitive about their general health. They work hard at being healthy. They focus on having a healthy lifestyle. They take advantage of all the possibilities and anti-aging procedures. They visit their doctor for frequent checkups. They discuss medical and family history with their physicians during frequent checkups so that risk factors can be identified.

Individuals who are worried about their health often take advantage of preventive measures; testing and procedures. VO2 testing is a popular choice for those who want to keep tabs on their cardiovascular health. It offers some very vital health info in a clear and understandable format.

VO2 testing provides measurements of the energy costs associated with exercise. Testing is provided under consistent conditions. VO2 testing is easily the best method for measuring the body’s cardiovascular and aerobic health.

The health of heart function is measured quite accurately by VO2 testing. Individuals can gain a much needed idea of just how well their heart is beating through the procedure. It also measures vessel elasticity and identifies capillary vessels working to bring oxygenated blood to the muscles.

One single number represents the individual’s health on various levels in VO2 testing. It’s a representation of the basic health of the cardiovascular system.

The reasons that people have for accessing VO2 testing vary. Sometimes it’s because there’s a family history indicating a prevalence of cardiovascular disease. They can use VO2 testing to monitor their cardiovascular health to catch any problems early since they have higher risk factors. Others may have unexplained conditions with possible connections to negative cardiovascular health. VO2 testing can aid professionals in identifying the possible connection by determining healthy function.

Athletes sometimes take advantage of the VO2 testing in order to determine their peak aerobic capacity. Knowing their limits allows them to really maximize their training. Individuals who haven’t exercised in a while also use VO2 testing to determine if they are capable of starting an intensive aerobic program after a period of low activity.

One of the most vital uses of VO2 testing is to aid in determining treatment needs for individuals with a variety of conditions related to cardiovascular system function. It can be used for frequent monitoring and can increase the accuracy of diagnosis.

BioCosmetic Center Urges Americans to Consider Weight a Serious Health Issue Needing Weight Loss Measures

August 7th, 2010

BioCosmetic Center urges Americans to consider their weight a serious health concern needing serious weight loss measures. Individuals who are overweight or obese drastically increase their risks for a wide array of major conditions; both mental and physical. When considered from a medical perspective, obesity is one of the most common and most long term or chronic disorders in modern America.

According to the Obesity Society obesity is one of the leading causes behind many conditions and concerns in America including: mortality, morbidity, disability, healthcare utilization, and healthcare costs. Some experts suggest that the growing rise in American obesity could result in cases of diabetes, cardiac disease, and disabilities in general rising by the millions. Over 1/3 of American adults are obese. This number has been increasing since the middle of the 1900’s.

Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center suggests, “Americans who recognize their weight as a health issue are often more serious about weight loss; more dedicated to strict programs. They are often more willing to follow the rules. They can regard it as a more necessary day to day activity like prescription medication or required treatment that will increase their health.”

Recent availability of drastic weight loss through the use of HCG based programs allows dieters access to 1 to 2 pounds of average daily weight loss. These programs are based around daily use of HCG and a very strict dietary program. The use of HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) as a weight loss method was introduced over 50 years ago by Dr. Simeons, an endocrinologist. It has only recently become available (and affordable) to the general public.

HSDD And Bioidentical Hormones

August 4th, 2010

What is HSDD? Basically, it is hypoactive sexual desire disorder. And according to a recent study found in Arch Intern Med (2008 Jul 14;168(13):1441-9) HSDD rates are quite high. HSDD is defined by a drastic lack of sexual desire. Expert diagnosis should be obtained prior to seeking treatment.

In order for a lack of sexual desire to indicate HSDD the lack must be not only noticeable, but problematic. Problematic would indicate that it is causing distress in the relationship to the individual experiencing the HSDD or the sexual partner. Care needs to be taken when diagnosing HSDD due to the general nature of the symptoms and the fact that they can indicate a number of other physical/mental conditions.

Finding the “cause” of the HSDD can be difficult. It can vary widely depending upon the situation at hand. There are different kinds of HSDD making it even more difficult because they can present with different symptoms. The condition can be caused (or escalated/exacerbated) by: inadequate testosterone levels, high prolactine, a variety of psychiatric problems, imbalances in the hormones, etc. In some cases the HSDD will be diagnosed, but cause may never be identified.

Women can find it difficult to determine if they are experiencing a normal lull in sexual desire or if they are experiencing signs of HSDD. Lack of sex drive can be normal for some women. Women having difficulty determining if they are experiencing normal lulls or HSDD should consider how long the lull has lasted. If it has been long enough to create a problem in the relationship then HSDD could be present.

The study outlined in Arch Intern Med indicated high rates of HSDD. It indicated HSDD rates are highest amongst menopausal women. It also indicated that rates are highest amongst surgically menopausal women. Women experiencing menopause naturally have noticeably lower rates of HSDD than those who are experiencing surgically induced menopause.

According to a second study published in Menopause (2006 Jan-Feb;13(1):46-56) age isn’t a big factor for HSDD. It can be found in women of all ages and reproductive stages. Those at the greatest risk for HSDD are young, surgically menopausal women.

There are no pharmaceutical treatments available for HSDD. But bioidentical hormones treatment can offer effective reduction and/or elimination of the condition and symptoms. Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center said, “With proper diagnosis and monitored treatment women with HSDD can see a drastic improvement in their symptoms…sometimes they can experience a total elimination of their symptoms and feel ‘normal’ again.”

Risk factors for HSDD have been going up so it is important that individuals are aware of the condition so they can seek proper diagnosis and treatment. Accessing bioidentical hormones therapy is a positive move for most women with HSDD or suspicions of HSDD. Drastic relief can be found through proper diagnosis and treatment.

BioCosmetic Center Urges Citizens to Support New Initiatives Getting Veterans Necessary Burn Scar Removal Procedures and More

August 3rd, 2010

BioCosmetic Center urges citizens to support new initiatives working to get veterans necessary burn scar removal procedures. According to the Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine (AFIRM) keloid and hypertrophic scarring due to burn wounds/injuries are one of the most common military injuries. Recent movement is being made both in the military framework and without to extend much needed services to retuned soldiers who are left with moderate to severe scarring. Burn scar removal can be very effective, but isn’t always covered for returning soldiers.

AFIRM is an interdisciplinary network encompassing both military and civilian institutions established in 2008 as a five year project. It is funded by governmental institutions (both federal and state) and academic institutions. They conduct research in five areas:

1.    Wound healing without scarring
2.    Craniofacial reconstruction
3.    Limb repair and regeneration
4.    Compartment syndrome (swelling and inflammation after surgery/injury)
5.    Burn repair

BioCosmetic Center sees the increasing recognition of scar removal as a vital procedure for veterans as a much needed change that will have extensive ramifications for veterans and their families. Moderate to severe scarring can have a profound negative effect on the self confidence and self image. Burn scar removal can drastically improve the outlook of individuals who have undergone moderate to extensive injuries. In the face of other major mental and physical hardships many experts agree that expecting veterans to endure damage that doesn’t have to be permanent is wrong.

Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center responded, “We feel recognition of those who are working towards providing veterans with the aid they need after injuries that result in scarring is vital. If we want the movement to continue towards more comprehensive care for returning soldiers it needs to be brought to the forefront. Burn scar removal can be very effective. It has been known to drastically reduce severe issues with confidence and self image as well as alleviate drastic cases of depression.”

BioCosmetic Center urges citizens to write letters to their senator or congressman requesting that they support governmental aid for rehabilitation of wounded troops.

BioCosmetic Center Releases Top 5 Reasons to Look for Natural Hormone Replacement

July 27th, 2010

BioCosmetic Center releases top 5 reasons to look for natural hormone replacement. Natural hormone replacement is also known as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). The therapy is based on the necessary replacement or adjustment of hormones that are missing or deficient in the body using hormones that are molecularly identical to endogenous hormones.

Top 5 Reasons to Look for Natural Hormone Replacement:

1.    Menopause: therapy can be used to reduce the symptoms of menopause
2.    Anti-aging
3.    Improvement of quality of life
4.    Stress induced adrenal fatigue and other stress induced conditions
5.    Andropause (the male menopause)

Eric Jantze of BioCosmetic Center says, “Natural hormone therapy is a natural response to the depleted hormone levels that many over the age of 30 suffer. Different hormone deficiencies will present with different symptoms, but some of them are life altering. We use a complete examination to actually define clinical deficiencies prior to conducting any type of hormone therapy to ensure that patients are getting exactly what their body needs.”

Bioidentical hormone therapy or natural hormone therapy has been known to effectively decrease the signs and symptoms of menopause and andropause. Hormone levels continue to decrease as the body ages making it a logical treatment for those in their fifties and sixties; decreasing the obvious signs of age.
